I need to take a photo of a specific art nouveau metro sign in Paris, but not every station has them.
The sign has to look like this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Paris_Metro_Sign.jpg
I can't use this same image because I need to take the picture from another angle.
Can anyone tell me the names of any stations in Paris where they have seen a sign like this?
Thanks!
I'm not talking about fancy theatres and government buildings etc, just regular houses built either during that period or inspired by that period. I was pretty sure they had those huge square decorative ceilings, but is there anything else that specifically marks a house as being Art Deco?
I mean stuff like cornices, the types of decorative ceilings etc - those kind of features.
I'm looking for architectural pictures of building with a notable art nouveau style, but a the more traditional degree of this style. I was hoping that by knowing the name of one of the leader designers of this style might lead me to more amazing architecture.
I'm not looking for Alfonse Mucha.
I live in Maryland and am interested in buying some art deco bar stools for the kitchen.
Description:
round, black top
steel legs.
What stores in Maryland would carry this? If there are no stores available will consider buying it online.
Thanks.
It depicts a girl in Art Nouveau style costume holding up a tiny man and pulling a string that's coming out of his back.
The words on it read "DIORAMA ANIMADO"
She looks like she might be in a theatre or something, because you can see lots of people sitting in the background, although they have their backs to her.
(oh and no, I don't have a picture of it, I'm trying to find a picture of it, but I have seen it before)
