Is It Possible to Transform a Victorian Ballroom Into Something More Art Deco?
I really want to book this venue for my wedding, but I want the theme to be art deco. What can I do to give it an art deco feel?

It may be less costly to just find a venue that more suits your tastes. It is possible to Change the character of any venue, but isn’t the character of the venue to reason we choose the one we do?
Luck!

can we see the ballroom so we can offer you some suggestions? you should be able to do it since during the early 1900′s many places were still decorated in the victorian style and yet art deco became the modern look….but to give you specific ideas, we would really need to see the ballroom. got a website with photos?

I agree with planner that we need to see a photo of it, but your link is wrong. It’s just too hard to answer, because in some cases it won’t be that difficult. In others, if you’ve got blue and green brocade everywhere, it would be a challenge. It would also help to know exactly what your colors are. Not all art deco is black and red.

Not really. You can’t get that "less is more" atmosphere when you’re working with "more is more" Victorian decor. If you try really hard, you might be able to get it to look like 1905; but if you had your heart set on high Art Deco, that’s not going to do.
Victorian style was exuberant. You can’t finesse it. You have to beat it to death with a stick to make it go away, and I just can’t see a rented facility letting you do that.

Le Jardin is a kluge of french and victorian. That will be a lot to overcome to beat it into a semblance of art deco.
Have you considered booking the Eglinton Grand? It is an art deco venue.
